Candoro is pre-release software. Features will change, and you should keep independent copies of anything critical.
You keep all rights in your content. We only host and process it to run the service for you.
Candoro is a coordination tool, not a substitute for licensed professional, engineering, or safety judgment.
Louisiana law governs, and disputes go to Louisiana courts.
This summary is for orientation only. The full terms below are what govern.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Candoro platform, this website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Pelican State Tech (“Candoro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to that organization.
Candoro is in active development. The Service is provided on a pre-release basis, features may change, be added, or be removed without notice, and availability is not guaranteed. Do not rely on the Service as your sole system of record for legally or financially critical information, and keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at the address in Section 17 if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to:
Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other tenants’ data, or any related systems or networks.
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security, authentication, or rate-limiting measure.
Introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
Scrape or harvest data from the Service by automated means outside a documented API.
Upload content you lack the rights to upload, or that infringes the rights of others.
Use the Service or its output to train a machine learning or artificial intelligence model without our prior written consent.
You retain all rights in the content you and your collaborators put into the Service — selections, budgets, schedules, documents, drawings, photographs, and messages (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the collaborators you authorize. That license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for backups retained for a limited period.
You are responsible for having the rights and any necessary consents for Your Content, including personal information about project participants and photographs taken on job sites.
The account that creates a project controls it and decides who is invited and what role each collaborator holds. If you were invited to a project by someone else, your access is granted and can be revoked by them, and they control the project data. Our handling of personal information in each case is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service can connect to third-party services at your direction, such as Pinterest for design inspiration import. You authorize each connection yourself and may disconnect it at any time. Your use of a third-party service remains governed by that provider’s own terms, we do not control it, and we are not responsible for its availability, accuracy, or acts. We access only the permissions you grant and use them only for the described function.
The Service, including its software, design, interfaces, documentation, and the Candoro name and logo, is owned by Pelican State Tech and protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service. Where the Service is provided on a whitelabel basis, branding rights are governed by the separate written agreement covering that deployment. Feedback you give us about the Service may be used freely and without obligation to you.
Where the Service is offered on a paid basis, pricing, billing cycle, and payment terms will be set out in a separate order form or subscription agreement. During the current pre-release period, access may be provided at no charge and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
Each party may receive information the other treats as confidential. Each party agrees to protect the other’s confidential information with at least reasonable care and to use it only as needed to perform under these Terms. This does not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiving party, was already known to it, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that data will not be lost, or that any output — including schedule calculations, budget figures, and AI-generated summaries or risk indicators — will be accurate or complete.
Professional judgment remains yours. Candoro is a coordination tool, not a substitute for licensed professional, engineering, legal, accounting, or safety judgment. Verify anything the Service surfaces before relying on it for a construction, financial, or safety decision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Pelican State Tech nor its officers, directors, employees, contractors, or agents will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service, on any theory of liability, whether or not we were advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred United States dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pelican State Tech and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or connected with your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination your right to access the Service ends; we will make Your Content available for export for a reasonable period where practicable, after which it may be deleted. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision is held unenforceable it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them freely. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed order form or subscription agreement, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls.
We may revise these Terms as the product evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
